Mozart greatest accomplishments occured only after he had the courage to leave Salzburg and his father who wanted him to write only saleable popularia. !. The Hayden Quartets. These quartets were the first things Mozart ever broke a sweat composing. He worked on them on and off for a couple of years. 2.Before Mozart left Salzbury,out of bordem,he became a theature rat. He learned first hand the practicallities of entrances, exits, lighting, costumes, direction, stage craft,and so on. He learned what actors and scripts could and could not do. This served him well for his second accomplihment, The Marriage of Figaro. 3. As copyrights did not exist in Austria, he had to depend on publishing and live gate receipts. A gifted composer,pianist, he was able to write piano concertos that were popular with audiences and critics. I'm not sure how these works efrected the progress of music history.
