: I am singing in a quartet "Ex toto corde". We like to sing renaissance music, but finding the right reportoar is cifficult. The reason is that the four of us in the group are all females; 3 sopranoes and 1 mezzo. Nothing of the renaissance music is probably written for females originally, but there are a few pieces written for male high voices (boys and counter-tenors). If you know of a composer who has written a reportoar like that, I would really appriciate if you could mail me a message. If you have any opinion about females singing boys reportoar, you are wlecomed to respond to that as well.

: Have a nice day and thank you !!

Well, you may have heard of an ensemble called Anonymous 4, a highly successful group of four female singers. While most of their repertoire tends toward the medieval, some of it may be of interest to you. Check out their recordings. They're on the Harmonia Mundi label.
