Mozart was poisoned. He said so to his wife. He had powerful enemies. He had republican sympathies on the eve of the French revolution. He was shunned by the very people who could have helped him. His concert subscriptions were a disaster. By 1788 he was broke. And the establishment finally decided that he was a menace. The medical facts suggest trichinosis as the real cause of death. He ate food/drink that had been poisoned (and not for the first time). And 'experts' do not like to accept these things.
