I have just become the proud owner of a beautifully packaged LP boxed set of the Mahler Symphonies (the nine, in any case) with the NYPO and the LSO under Bernstein. This set was released by Columbia/CBS as a limited edition, possibly only in the States, when exactly is not clear either. I have not been able to find out anything at all about this issue (when, why, etc.), not even on the Internet. Anybody out there have any ideas/feedback?
