: George handel's rival was named bonocini.
Bononcini.
The main rival was the Nobility Opera (1734-1737), supported by Prince of Wales and Nobles. Nicola Porpora was one of the provider of operas for this company. Farinelli sung for this company too.
Handel was rather supported by George II and Queen Caroline.
At the end, in 1737, the 2 rival companies bankrupted.
