I agree the Credo is also wonderful and a powerfully moving movement. I was unaware of the Arte Nova issue. I'll have to check to see if it is still avaiable. The critic for the NY Times found the piece interesting and moving as well. He especially commented on Liszt's "idiosyncratic harmonies" and use of counterpoint. Imagine! Liszt and counterpoint in the same review and flatteringly so.
