: Hi, all! I know this has been discussed before (though by no means exhaustively), but 'tis the season -- so what I'd like to know is everyone's opinion on the most all-around satisfying performance of the "Christmas Tree" suite. I'm not talking excerpts; I want the whole bloomin' thing, in its best recorded incarnation. So what do you think? Howard? Andjaparidze? Gillespie?
I hope that Andjaparidze is better than Howard and Jerome Rose, but I have not heard it. Howard and Rose are both OK, but I can not recommend Gillespie. Pontinen on BIS is another option, but I still haven't heard it./mikael
