: : : Is Couperin's port to remain so forlorn and deserted?

: : : He was a great composer. His harpsichord music ranks with the best, as do his orchestral compositions.

: : : One of my favorite pieces of his is "Les Bergeries"(The sheep-Pens). There is an arrangement by Robert De Visee for theorbo, that totally glides!

: : Reusner

: I don't know much Couperin by I'm absolutely n away by "Les Barricades Mysterieuses" which a harpsichordist friend played for me. It's especially wonderful when register changes are used!

Aa.
Hmm, then what about his "Rondeau" from the
"Notenbûchlein fûr Anna Magdalena Bach"
It is one of my favorite hapsicord pieces.
So sad...
Aa.
