This was playing on the speaker in the lobby at work this noon, and I was pretty sure it was Wings of Song. However, when I fed the characteristic sequence 7123323 into themefinder.org's search service, the closest thing that came up, and remarkable close at that, was the Chopin etude. The Chopin is about twice as fast as the Mendelsohn, but otherwise the same theme.
Anyone know what's going on?
