I know the feeling, I played that too and my piano teacher wanted me to download the piece to listen to it, which I couldn't find anywhere.
He lived from 1870-1932, and is thought to be American. He's written a couple books under the pseudonym Gladys berland: A Short Primer in the Elements of Music, and A Child's Primer in the Elements of Music. (Same thing?!?)
