Hi,
I'm new to Debussy and to classical music in general.
I'm looking for a complete set of his piano works. By browsing the amazon.co.uk pages, I came across various CD sets: Gieseking, Fergus-Thompson, Werner Haas, Martin Jones, Michel Béroff....
What struck me most when listening to the samples was the wide range of different interpretations by different performers. Gieseking's performance of Claire de Lune for example literally put me to sleep. I'm used to a much faster and agrressive version.
So, any recommendations?
Please reply by email since I don't check this board very often.
