This painting is done in dull colours, it reminds me very much of "Death on a Pale Horse" by Ryder. It shows somebody whipping a girl or boy, the person being whipped is small and I think it might actually be a skeleton, not a full-fleshed person.
I seem to recall the figures being in a field, as though the whipped person were a reaper or something, perhas a slave. The picture has a very morbid look to it.
I don't know the date of this, but it looks in my memory like it may be from the 1700s. It has a very Ryder-esque, Munch-y style.
