I'm sure that few if any of you know of the contribution that Canada, then collectively known as British North America made to the Civil War. An untold number of men born in Canada, or born and residing in Canada, or simply long-time residents of Canada served with the Union. It is very likely that without the participation of thousands of Canadians the outcome of the war would have been very different. Okay, perhaps this is overstating their importance a little, but I need to get some attention here. I have been researching this topic for a while now, and have also put together a cheap web site in order to display my findings. It would really be helpful if any of you out there who have a mild interest in this aspect of the Civil War, or know of any information, would give my site a looksee and perhaps drop me an e-mail.
