Likewise I did not say that Hamilton WAS a "demagauge riding the wave of popularity" but that he "exhibited certain aspects" of the "demagauge riding the wave of popularity". The difference is citical becuase Hamilton never quite found his wave of popularity. Unlike Ceasar or Napolean, Hamilton's moment never arrived.

I would be interested in compelling evidence against Burr. Unfortuantely, the cipher letter is not compelling at all regarding the charge of treason. Did Mr. Willie (or even the prosecution?) claim that there was treasonous material in the letter or is it your position that is it treasonous for Burr to communicate in cipher?
