Your question concerns the influence of their ideals, today. That's different than asking whose vision has been most validated by history (Hamilton--surprise surprise!).

Your question takes into account several things, including (1) popularity and (2) the general knowledge that most people have of these two figures. On both of these, Jefferson dominated (& Hamilton is short-changed). However, much of this is due to STEREOTYPE, political/historical apathy, and the lousy & short treatment we find in high school history textbooks. Your question incorporated the opinions of the entire country--it did not ask who's more influential among historians, or among governmental practitioners.

So, my point is that (of course), we can answer your question either way, supported by facts, and further ressed by the "popularity & general knowledge" caveats listed above.
