My identity is how I relate to the world.
To take on another’s identity is to relate to the world differently.
To question my own identity is to question how I relate to the world.
I cannot separate my identity from my self.
If I did I would be something different to my self.
My identity comes from my misunderstandings.
My misunderstandings come from thinking of thoughts as things.
A thing is an object I can perceive.
My perceptions are sight, touch, taste, hearing and smell.
My perceptions are of the world.
I understand the world through my sensations.
Feelings are also sensations.
We feel feelings we do not perceive them.
No one else can understand my pain.
Only I can know my pain.
Feelings are not processes they are states of mind.
We do not perceive thought.
To think is to have thoughts.
Thinking is not a process.
A thought is a proposition.
My thought is private.
We share our thoughts through language.
The things we are having thoughts about are always where we left them.
A thought is only the framework we use to think of things at all.
This framework is called language.
We use language to define our sensations.
The job of language is the job of definition.
The job of definition is the job of labelling properties.
My identity is how I label myself.
A proposition is true if and only if the fact it frames exists in the world.
To think of my self is to use language.
To think of my self is to think of my relationship with the world.
To think of my self is to think of the framework of my identity.
To think of my self is to frame my identity.
To think of my self is to frame my self.
How we frame our self is how we relate to the world.
To frame our self is to relate to the world the same way.
To do this limits our self.
To think of our self is to limit our self.
When we think of our self, our self is always where we left it.
When we think of our self we get stuck in a moment.
Some moments are enjoyable to get stuck in (i.e . pleasurable moments).
Some moments are terrible to get stuck in.
Anxiety is to get stuck in the moment.
This is the truth in existentialism.
Our identity tells us how to relate to the world.
Our identity is a limitation on our self.
Identity limits our world.
Our identity is without meaning.
It is our relationships with the world that have meaning.
My relationships with the world are my experience.
My identity is the sum of my past experience.
My identity determines how I relate to the world.
This is the truth in determinism.
To relate to the world in different ways is to change our identity.
To change our identity is to change our self.
Changing our self is traumatic.
To ignore my identity is to ignore my past experience.
To ignore my identity is to relate to the world a new.
To relate to the world a new is to forge a new identity.
Ignoring my identity is like ignoring my right arm.
My right arm seems to act on it’s own without thought.
When my body acts without thought it is said to act on instinct.
My identity acts without thought.
My identity acts on instinct.
I can stop my body acting on instinct through thought.
I can stop my identity acting on instinct through thought.
To think is to apply my will.
The limits of my thought are the limits of my identity.
I can only apply my will to stop my actions and reactions.
It is like standing still when we know a car is about to hit us.
Ignoring our identity requires nerves of steel.
The limits of my identity are the limits of my thought.
Whatever I think I can be I can be.
This is the truth in free will.
