: This is a book I would not buy and read. I do not like to read about the cruelty of mankind. I know it is happening all around us, and I do not want to be guilty of hiding my eyes from the evil, however I do not have to go looking for it. I guess man has always been evil--we fail to look for the good. I would hate to think that there is a community like those people who lived in The Lottery. The story was about injustice, predjuice, and social barrier. Too our shame it is going on all around us. Let's you and I try to make it a better place to live!
