Andrea: I have but one thing to say about Ayn Rand.
: Nobody has really read Atlas Shrugged. Nobody.

Hempy: I have not read Atlas shrugged either. I recently read the letters of ayn rand though. I was expecting the worst, but I ended up admiring ayn. She seemed way too rational for me though. She speaks highly of St. Thomas and calls Nietzsche an irrationalist. A fan wrote her thinking she was interested in existentialism and she replied that "existentialism is oriental mystycism with no place in philosophy" and added "much of modern philosophy is in revolt against reason." She also said Nietzsche was an irrationalist and referred to (i think) 'Birth of Tradgedy' which I have not read.
