I've recently began studying Objectivism and when I read Nietzsche's Twilight of the Idols in my intro philo class I immediately saw many parallels between the two philosophers. Those at the Objectivism campfire seemed not to agree at all, but many objectivists are purist. So I was wondering if anyone here saw the same sense of life, egoism, anti-religion and authority stances, in Nietzsche and Rand? I just finished reading ayn rand : the russian radical, the author, Chris Matthew Sciabarra, also seemed to see many connections between rand and nietzsche, and even suggested that Rand possibly was influenced by Nietzsche. Any thoughts on this? thanks. ~Erinn
