Ayn Rand started her career as a follower of Nietzsche and later broke from him. There is so much similarity that Objectivism has often avoided the connection. THE FOUNTAINHEAD was a metaphor for that break. A brief description of the connections can be found in THE IDEAS OF AYN RAND by Ronald Merrill. As a footnote; those who have so little knowledge of a subject (as many below) would do well to maintain silence. Why compound the sin of ignorance with the folly of gobbledygook? ---- Joe
